Worldly success is nothing but a little pile of mud. Wisdom, by comparison, is like the highest peak. Please, develop wisdom. This is the way to train.

 

Nothing is more harmful than carelessness. Careless can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than diligent spiritual practice. Diligent practice leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than laziness is spiritual practice. Laziness can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than intense effort in spiritual practice. Great effort leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than being consumed by desires. Desire can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than having few wants. Having few wants leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than being discontentment. Discontent can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than contentment. Contentment leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than unwise attention. Unwise attention can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than wise attention. Wise attention leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than forgetting the truth of impermanence. This forgetting can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than constantly being aware of impermanence. Always remembering leads to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than bad friends. Bad friends can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than good friends. Good friends lead to great benefit.

 

Nothing is more harmful than bad behavior. Bad behavior can lead to great harm.

Nothing is more beneficial than good behavior. Good behavior leads to great benefit.
